John Harney graduated from Williams College in 1977 followed by a tour in the US Marines, after which he went out to Denver to work with an oil exploration company before going into social work with both the homeless and youth in the Job Corps program.

He returned to Salisbury in 1999 to work in the family real estate business and then started his own office in 2006 with a group of friends and partners. John lives in Lakeville with his wife Sharon and two boys, he is active with the Boy Scouts, SWSA and Extra’s.

A long time northwest corner resident Chip Hoben lives in Lakeville. He was a real estate appraiser for twenty plus years working primarily in the area of conservation easements, gifts of real estate, eminent domain, subdivision and tax appeals throughout Litchfield County. As an appraiser he has given “Expert Witness” testimony in Litchfield, Stamford, and New Haven Superior Courts.

In 2000 Chip obtained his real estate license and has actively been selling real estate ever since.

Digby Brown came to Salisbury over twenty years ago from a design and build career with Bechtel Corp. and Laurance Rockefeller's Rockresorts Inc., based in San Francisco and New York respectively.

In Salisbury Digby has become involved in many aspects of real estate, including Commercial and Residential sales as well as Business Brokerage. In addition, he serves as a board member of the Salisbury Association, 07-08 President of the Rotary Club, the Historic District Commission, SWSA and is a founding trustee of the Salisbury Housing Trust.

Tom and his wife Madeline moved to Salisbury in 2000 from Long Island. Tom has had a varied career which included Stock/Option trading on the AMEX to owning and operating a coffee shop. His interests include vintage Corvettes and Baseball which he has played for over forty years.

Born and raised in central Connecticut, Michael moved to the northwest corner in the mid-nineties. After attending Salisbury school he went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island.

Thomas F. Casey, a local real estate expert for the past 28 years, has recently joined John Harney Associates. Tom was previously the Associate Broker for William Raveis Real Estate, from 1997 to 2007, where he received several awards for Top Producer and Outstanding Achievement. He was also the owner/broker of Gordon Casey Real Estate in Sharon, and has held the positions of President, Treasurer and Director of the New Milford Board of Realtors.

Tom lives in Sharon with his wife, Jamie, their four children and one grandchild. He is actively involved with the community as a current member of Sharon Fire Department and a Certified EMT for the Sharon Ambulance. Allison was born and raised in Canaan, having also lived in New York City and Longmeadow, MA. She is a graduate of Bay Path College's Class of 2006, having received a B.A. in Liberal Arts with minors in Communications, Arts & Humanities and certification in television production.

In May of 2006, she accepted a job offer from John Harney Associates to work in their business administration office. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, reading, cooking, and playing outdoors.
